Smart Modular Technologies acquires Adtron
Smart Modular Technologies, a manufacturer of memory modules, embedded computing subsystems, and TFT-LCD display products, will acquire privately-held Adtron Corporation. This in Phoenix, AZ based company is a designer and supplier of solid state flash disk drives. Under the terms of the agreement this all cash transaction is valued at approximately $20 million with up to an additional $15 million should certain calendar year 2008 financial and operational performance goals be achieved. The acquisition is expected to close on or about February 15, 2008.
