KMM Precision Measuring has introduced high-precision displacement sensors that measure the movement of conductive components without physical contact. Designed for extreme environments, these sensors operate in temperatures from –320°F to 1000°F (short-term up to 1200°F) and pressures up to 5000 psi, making them ideal for rocket engines, nuclear systems, and high-temperature testing.

Key Specifications

  • Temperature range: –320°F to 1000°F continuous, short-term up to 1200°F
  • Pressure capability: up to 5000 psi (KD-1925 model), up to 3500 psi (KD-1950 and KD-1975)
  • Measurement principle: Non-contact sensing of conductive surfaces
  • Construction: Hermetically sealed, laser-welded Inconel housings
  • Cables: Metal-jacketed, mineral-insulated for extreme durability
  • Signal conditioning: KDM-8206 electronics
  • Available systems: Single-channel NEMA enclosure, bench-top, or rack-mountable Eurocard (up to 12 channels)

Originally developed for NASA and the nuclear power industry, the sensors withstand high heat, pressure, vibration, and contaminants where conventional contact sensors would fail.
