STMicroelectronics has introduced the STGI15C60S, the first device in its new SLLIMM Compact intelligent power module family. This 600 V, 20 A three-phase IGBT inverter module delivers a significantly smaller footprint while maintaining high thermal performance and comprehensive protection features for motor-drive applications.

• Voltage / Current rating: 600 V, 20 A three-phase IGBT inverter
• Footprint: 18.8 mm × 32.8 mm — more than 30% smaller than comparable DBC packages
• Substrate: Direct-bonded copper (DBC) for improved thermal performance
• Package: Fully isolated CDIPB-26L DBC with topside cooling
• Isolation rating: 2000 Vrms minimum
• Switching: Hard-switching topologies up to 20 kHz
• Integrated components:
  • High-side and low-side gate-driver ICs
  • Short-circuit-rugged trench-gate field-stop IGBTs
  • Fast soft-recovery freewheeling diodes
  • Bootstrap diode
• Protection features:
  • Undervoltage lockout (UVLO)

The compact design and integrated protection functions make the STGI15C60S particularly suitable for space-constrained motor-drive applications while improving thermal management and system reliability.
