TDK Corporation has expanded its aluminum electrolytic capacitor portfolio with new 125 V versions of the B43693/B43793 series and upgraded the 63 V B41687/B41787 series. These vibration-resistant capacitors are optimized for compact DC-link banks in 48 V to 120 V battery systems used in small electric vehicles, micromobility, forklifts, electric boats, humanoid robots, and industrial equipment.

TDK new 125 V and upgraded 63 V aluminum electrolytic capacitors for battery systems
Key Specifications
- Voltage ratings: New 125 V (B43693/B43793) and upgraded 63 V (B41687/B41787)
- Capacitance range: 56 µF – 650 µF (125 V series); 510 µF – 4800 µF (63 V series)
- Ripple current: Up to 21.6 A
- Operating temperature: Up to +140°C (125 V); up to +150°C (63 V)
- Can sizes: 16 × 25 mm to 21 × 49 mm
- Low ESR and high ripple current capability
- Vibration resistance: Up to 20 g (standard), up to 60 g on request
- Axial leads and soldering-star terminals for flexible mounting
The 125 V series allows higher DC-link voltages with a single capacitor, eliminating the need for series connection. This reduces component count and simplifies bank design. Mounting the capacitors to a heat sink can more than double their ripple current capability (example: an 18 × 30 mm capacitor rated 5.2 A at +105°C ambient can handle 11.1 A when the case is held at +105°C).
Target Applications
- Small electric vehicles and micromobility platforms
- Forklifts and electric boats
- Humanoid robots and automotive electronics
- Industrial battery-powered equipment
- Compact 96 V battery systems under high temperature and dynamic loads
With low ESR, high ripple current handling, and robust vibration resistance, these capacitors help reduce power losses, improve thermal performance, and enable smaller, more cost-effective DC-link designs.
