Rigol RSA800 and DINA800 Compact RF Analysers Bring Advanced Testing to the Bench

Rigol has introduced two compact, lightweight RF instruments — the RSA800 series real-time spectrum analysers and the DINA800 series vector network analysers. Available in the UK through Telonic Instruments, both units weigh just 1.9 kg and are priced from £1,650, offering a portable alternative to traditional large benchtop equipment for wireless development, EMC testing, research, service and antenna work.

Rigol RSA800 and DINA800 compact RF analysers

Rigol RSA800 real-time spectrum analyser and DINA800 vector network analyser

Common Features

  • Weight: 1.9 kg
  • 7-inch multi-touch display with direct trace and marker control
  • 40 MHz real-time bandwidth
  • Full two-port vector network analysis capability
  • USB-C power delivery
  • Interfaces: USB, LAN, HDMI
  • SCPI remote control for automated testing

RSA800 Series – Real-Time Spectrum Analyser

  • Frequency range: 5 kHz – 14 GHz
  • Combines swept spectrum analysis and real-time spectrum analysis
  • Typical DANL: –168 dBm
  • Built-in tracking generator (standard)
  • Optional functions: vector signal analysis, analogue demodulation, EMI pre-compliance testing

The tracking generator allows filter, antenna and cable measurements without an external source.

DINA800 Series – Vector Network Analyser

  • True two-port VNA with full S-parameter coverage (S11, S12, S21, S22)
  • Dynamic range: up to 125 dB
  • Trace noise: as low as 0.005 dB RMS
  • Optional Distance-to-Fault (DTF) and Time-Domain Reflectometry (TDR) analysis

Ideal for filter and antenna characterisation as well as PCB impedance measurements.

Target Applications

  • Wireless communications development and RF design validation
  • EMC pre-compliance testing
  • University teaching and research
  • Field service and maintenance
  • Antenna, filter and cable testing

The compact form factor, USB-C power and strong measurement performance make these instruments practical for both laboratory benches and portable use where space and weight matter.
